　　除夕之夜，发生在家里的一件趣事使我至今难忘．

　　On New Year's Eve, an interesting thing happened at home that I can never forget

　　大家都听说过“家庭猜谜会“，“家庭讨论会“然而我爷爷却别出心裁，成立了一个“家庭奖励基金会“．并觉得从自己的存款里取出六百元钱，在除夕之夜奖励品学兼优的好孩子．

　　Everyone has heard of "family riddles" and "family seminars". However, my grandfather had a unique idea and set up a "family reward foundation". He thought that he would take 600 yuan out of his savings to reward good children who are good at both academic and moral qualities on New Year's Eve

　　消息传来，我和姐姐可高兴了。我心里盘算着，如果我能得第一，一定买一个漂亮的学习机，这可是我梦寐以求的呀！

　　等呀！盼呀！除夕终于到了，全家人聚集到一起，一桌丰盛的家庭宴令人馋筵欲滴．但是更诱人的还是家庭好孩子的评选结果。

　　此时，总裁爷爷让姐姐和我分别汇报一年中的'学习收获和思想情况。

　　姐姐首先发现：“今年我面临升初三，学习任务很重，通过努力，我的学习成绩还不错，可是其他发面……”

　　爷爷听了满意的点点了。通过民主选举，果然我荣登榜首。全家人为我拍手祝贺，可我倒不好意思起来，心想，这大概是为了鼓励我吧！但不管怎么样，我还是飘飘欲仙，仿佛看到了学习机正在向我招手。

　　Grandpa listened with satisfaction. Through democratic elections, I was indeed ranked first. 　　“你可不能骄傲啊！”爷爷的话打断了我的思路。我抬头看看爷爷，爷爷今天高兴得好象年轻了许多。看着看着，我似乎也发现了什么，爷爷关心我们，爱护我们，我们不也要孝敬爷爷，关心爷爷吗？我应为爷爷做些什么呢？我忽然想起妈妈那天为我上了人寿保险。对，我们给爷爷办一个养老保险，让爷爷无忧无虑地安享晚年。于是，我当众宣布了我的决定。全家人用惊异的目光望着我，突然再一次爆发了热烈的掌声。

　　"You can't be proud!" Grandpa's words interrupted my thinking. I looked up at my grandfather, who seemed much younger today. Looking at it, I seem to have found something. Grandpa cares about us and loves us. Don't we also have to respect and care for Grandpa? What should I do for Grandpa? It suddenly occurred to me that my mother had bought life insurance for me that day. Yes, we provide an endowment insurance for Grandpa, so that he can enjoy his old age without worry. So I announced my decision in public. The whole family looked at me with amazement and suddenly burst into warm applause again.

　　爷爷激动得流下了眼泪，抚摸着我的头，半晌说了一句：“好孩子！”

　　这时，姐姐提议，举起酒杯，共祝我们全家在除夕之夜，谱写了尊老爱幼的新诗篇。
