three days, we’ll make some short trips to some places of interest nearby, such as the Swan Cave, the Golden Lake, etc. On the last day, I’ll see you off at the railway station.
Please remember to call and tell me your train number and time of arrival so that I can meet you at the railway station. By the way, it’s very hot here and we have a lot of sunshine, so don’t forget to wear you sunglasses.

Electricity in our daily life
Electricity is becoming more and more important nowadays. Nearly all the appliances in our houses are driven by electricity. Without electricity, we can’t watch TV, surf the Internet, use the washing machine or even read or write in the evenings.
So let’s take action right now. We just need to do some easy things, such as turning off the light when leaving, using the air conditioner less, reminding our relatives and people around us to save electricity or calling on the students to do so.
There are five classroom buildings and five dining-halls on the campus. The classrooms are big and bright. And each of them is large enough for sixty students to study in. Behind the main classroom building stands the college library, where both the teachers and students are busy borrowing and returning books every day. I usually go there once a week for borrowing and returning books. Our college life is rich and interesting. On the one hand, we have many experienced teachers, sufficient books, scientific apparatus, and instruments to help our studies. On the other hand, we are encouraged to take part in many
Have Family Time: on a typical workday I won’t see much of my partner and daughters, so I believe it’s important to, at the very least, be there most evenings. Family time is about quantity and quality.
Floss: This is essential to reduce tooth decay and gum disease. Why wouldn’t you want to have the best smile possible?
Wind Down: I try to switch off the computer and the TV about 30 to 60minutes before bedtime and let my brain have some down time after a long day. I sleep far more peacefully when I do this.
Review My Day: I find this is a great way to hold myself to account for taking action throughout the day. Did I get closer to achieving my goals? Did I complete my to–do list? Did my day go as planned? If not, why not?
Read: I love to read and do so continuously throughout the day. I find it is especially good ot read just before going to bed. Just make sure it’s a relaxing book, and not one about nuclear physics.
Say I Love You to My Family Members: Don’t just assume that your family members know you love them. I say these words to my partner and daughters at least once per day.
Go to Bed at a Reasonable Time: The first habit of this list begins by going to bed at a reasonable time and getting a good night’s sleep.
I'm glad to receive your letter. Now I will tell you something about my plan for summer vacation after the final exam. Firstly, I will learn to drive. I think driving can be useful. Secondly, I will take some English courses. Thirdly, I will visit some tourist attractions. It must be very exciting. Last, I will do some reading in the vacation. What about you? I hope you can have a pretty vacation.
The human being differs from the wild beast in that the latter is liable to have a hostileview of others and interact in an unreasonable and aggressive manner. Primitive humansmight have acted in such fashion, but civilized humans should cultivate more appropriatebehaviors.
In the drawing above, a man carrying a large load accidentally steps on a woman's foot.Given that he gracefully apologizes, the woman both accepts his apology and assures him notto worry.
The man and woman depicted interact with each other in a courteous and compassionatemanner. The woman understands the man did not intentionally step on her foot, andtherefore whether or not she is in pain, she does not attack or blame him. Because she is ableto view the situation from his perspective, conflict is diverted. Mutual understanding such asthis is a fundamental aspect of civilized society.
Some people tend to think the worst of others and become angry over even the smallest ofmatters, regardless of how their own actions are disturbing in turn. Such intolerance onlyleads to more conflict. Disrespecting or mistreating people not only inflicts pain upon others, but can also harm one's own conscience and attitude.
Having compassion for others is an important facet of social intercourse. Once one strivesto understand the experience and perspective of another, one can avoid much trouble andconflict, thus making life more peaceful and just for all.
The CCTV Spring Festival Gala used to be important to the Chinese people.
But now the Gala is being challenged by a growing number of people，especially by younger generations. It is increasingly difficult to cater for all tastes.
Some individuals argue that it should be abandoned or replaced by other programs. In spite of that, numbers of mid-aged people and senior citizens uphold the importance ofthe traditional performance. Most ofpeople view this gala as an annual staple on the traditional Chinese Spring Festival Eve.They all enjoy a restless night and glue their eyes on the television.
I don’t agree with the view that the grand gala should be canceled.Undoubtedly, it plays an important role in the celebration of Chinese New Year.I am hoping to see a vivid and meaningful show this year.
I am so glad to receive your letter and happy to know that you have a pleasant holiday. Please send my sincere wishes to your parents. I have a happy holiday just like you do. This holiday, I visited to Guangzhou with my parents. Guangzhou, also known as the Flower City, there are many flowers along the both sides of streets. It’s very beautiful. Besides, the environment is clean and the climate is comfortable. There are many skyscrapers in Guangzhou, especially in the downtown. We visited to many tourist attractions. They are all worth visiting. I hope you can visit there personally one day. You must like it.
