　　i have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. it might even be the greatest of the art since the medium is the human mind and spirit.

　　i shall speak only of my first teacher because in addition to the other things, she brought discovery.she aroused us to shouting, bookwaving discussions. she had the noisiest class in school and she didn’t even seem to know it. we could never stick to the subject. she breathed curiosity into us so that we brought in facts or truths shielded in our hands like captured fireflies.

　　she was fired and perhaps rightly so, for failing to teach fundamentals. such things must be learned. but she left a passion in us for the pure knowable world and she inflamed me with a curiosity which has never left. i could not do simple arithmetic but through her i sensed that abstract mathematics was very much like music.when she was relieved, a sadness came over us but the light did not go out. she left her signature on us, the literature of the teacher who writes on minds. i suppose that to a lager extent i am the unsigned manuscript of the high school teacher. what deathless power lies in the hands of such a person.

　　i can tell my son who look s forward with horror to fifteen years of drudgery that somewhere in the dusty dark a magic may happen that will light up the years…if he is very lucky.

　　My teacher is very kind and beautiful.To be honest,I have never seen a teacher who is so patient and responsible like her.In class,she is very strict with us and pay all her attention to the text.After class,she seems to be a child who can play with us happily.In her spare time,she always try her best to help the students who are poor in study or have some difficulty in living with their family.

　　Only did I graduate from the school,I had known what an important role she played in my school life.

　　我的老师非常善良和美丽的。老实说，我从来没有见过一个老师这么耐心负责，喜欢她是谁。在课堂上，她对我们要求很严格，要她注意文本。下课后，她似乎是一个孩子可以快乐地跟我们玩。她在业余的'时候，她总是尽力帮助穷人在研究或与他们的家庭生活有困难的学生。

As soon as we entered the hospital, something happened.A 15-year-old girl was carrying a patient, her father, to the doctor＇s office. Before they reached the office, the old man fell down to the ground, gasping his last①. What a pity to see the girl too weak to do anything for him! Feeling helpless, she did nothing but cry.At this moment, some people went to help, but were shocked to find that the old man was dying fast. They were too frightened to do anything.Glancing at me, my English teacher hurried over to the dying man without hesitation②. He knelt on one knee and lifted the old man up. But the man couldn＇t walk. So my teacher put him on his back. When they reached the door of the office, the patient was dead. Just then a doctor came up and said to my teacher:“How miserable! Please send your father into the mortuary③.”“He isn＇t my teacher＇s father; it＇s hers,” I explained to the doctor, pointing to the girl.“Hers?” replied the doctor in surprise.“Yes, it＇s hers. My teacher and I happened to pass by here just now.”“Your teacher?” the doctor said. “Which school are you from? What＇s your teacher＇s name?”“His name is….” Just then I saw my teacher signaling④ to me with his hand. Clearly he wanted me to stop. But how could I?“He is my English teacher. 　　Today, I go to school with aheadache. At the beginning, it is just a slightly pain. Nevertheless, it is notuntil the English lesson that my head pains heavily. So it is difficult for meto take notes. Luckily, my English teacher notices it so she takes me to theoffice. With a big smile on her face and caring words, she gives me a glass ofwater. To my surprise, she offers to help me notes. It is her love that warmsme up. At that moment, I whisper myself that I will do my utmost to help othersas kind as my English teacher.

　　今天我去学校的时候头很痛。一开始，只是轻微的疼痛。然而，在上英语课的`时候我的变得很痛。所以记笔记对我来说变得很困难。幸运的是，我的英语老师发现了，并把我带到了办公室。她脸上挂着微笑并说着一些关心的话，递给我一杯水。使我吃惊的是，她提出要帮我记笔记。是她的爱温暖了我。在那一刻，我轻声对自己说，我会像我的英语老师一样尽我最大的努力去帮助别人。
