　　At nine in the morning, I went to the countryside with my classmates. On the way we saw many rice fields and woods on both sides of the road. Some families have bought color TV. Their life is much better than before. It’s said that some American friends would come to visit their village, too. 　　Many factors are contributing to the deteriorating situation: industrial wastes pumped into the air, the lakes and rivers; a increasing number of automobiles crowding into the streets; the widespread use of plastic bags etc.

　　To my view, stiffer laws and regulations must be implemented to check pollution. Industries that release wastes without permission should be heavily fined. Cars should be equipped to minimize the exhaust they release into the air. And the use of plastic bags and disposable meal boxes should be banned. What‘s more, the media should play an important role in implanting a sense of environmental consciousness into people‘s mind.

　　20xx年金秋，我来到北京的圆明园。园门早已面目全非，成为满地碎石。两只石狮遍体鳞伤，其中一只竟然被劈成两半，一半躺在地上成为“睡狮”，另一半仍坚强地站在基座上。这一只半石狮站在“大门”两侧，诉说着圆明园当年悲惨的历史......

　　走过“大门”，一段被炸毁的石墙无助地靠在两棵枯死的松树上，让我不禁想起八国联军大肆掠夺的情景:有的搬走稀世珍宝，有的毁坏搬不走的无价之宝，还有的炮轰举世无双的建筑……
