　　08年7月18日19时，仲夏梦之夜——东方之子中英文朗诵会在北校区一楼大厅正式开始。学校二十多位教职工均参加了此次活动，其中六位资深教师众望所归担任评委;十三名参赛者的朗诵声情并茂，各具特色;校长的穿插主持和总结陈词幽默而精彩；舒缓的背景音乐更为此夜营造了梦的氛围，朗诵会在老师们的阵阵热烈的掌声中结束。此次活动旨在促进教师之间的交流，丰富教师的课外生活，创建独特的校园文化。同时，参赛者标准的英语口语更展示了东方之子外国语学校教师的业务水平，也对他们在交流对比中发现不足，不断提高自己的口语水平有促进作用。

　　朗诵会形式多样，内容丰富，十三名朗诵者既有中文版式又有英语形式，内容涉及社会、生活的多个方面。英文版中唯一的'男选手常宏以《TopStar-YaoMing》开始了仲夏梦之夜，演讲中常老师介绍了作为nationalhero的姚明的出色的技术以及同样优秀的人格。刘慧老师的《Topic》虽然简洁，却从容自然，以清新之感引人注目。复杂的生活往往让人很难从中寻找到平衡，而邵晓超老师的《Life’sBalance》却用四句Don’t告诉大家如何在工作、家庭、朋友、健康、精神这五项生活中不可或缺的要素之间找到平衡。从生活中走出，大家又随刘璐老师一起走进泰戈尔的《TheMostDistantWayInTheWorld》去品味经典。参赛者中年龄最小的苗琦惠以《Mum,PleaseDon’tCry》将真挚的感情在抑扬顿挫的声情中表现的淋漓尽致，一声声的“Mum,PleaseDon’tCry”让大家的心随着她感情的变化起伏着、震动着……最后，李校长的朗诵更为别开生面，雨天诵《雨巷》，在缓缓的音乐中将全场的情调浸上了一层浪漫，中文版的形式更是万绿丛中一点红，成为全场的亮点。

　　赛后，李校长就此次活动进行了总结，希望借此次活动增进教职工之间的交流，大家能够更加团结一致，齐心协力，为把东方之子外国语学校的事业做大做强，把学校办成淄博市最好的学校这一共同的梦想并肩奋斗。

　　那是一次我坐公共汽车回家的路上发生的事。公共汽车来了，车还没停稳，一伙人就挨挨挤挤的争着上车。我不想这样，我就在一旁等，大家都上去了，我才上车。我一上车，还好，有座位。我刚想坐下来的时候，后面上来一个老奶奶，她环顾了四周，我也随着她的目光向四周扫视了一遍，原来已经没座位了。我决定给她让个座。于是我对老奶奶说：“奶奶，来，坐这儿吧”。说完我站起，走到了一旁。老奶奶说：“孩子啊，还是你坐吧。”我连忙说：“还是您坐吧，我站着就可以了!”，就这样老奶奶坐到了我的座位上。当时我觉得很是快乐，一颗心也终于放下，因为我当时心里还坏坏的想过难道我想做一次好事的愿望都实现不了吗?这时突然听见后面一个小女孩的妈妈好象在对她的孩子说：“你看人家大哥哥多懂事，要向哥哥学习啊!”我听了，仿佛自己真的长大了，我能给予别人帮助了，心里别提有多开心。
