the good news is there are many ways to keep your kids safe in the water and make sure that they take the right precautions when they're on their own.
暑假英语日记2
今年一放暑假，我就参加了杭州英语夏令营。在夏令营我的收获是养成了独立生活的能力。
刚一进宿舍，老师就要求我们快速把东西放好，桌子上不要出现东西，书包、箱子要放进柜子里，垃圾要扔进垃圾桶。每天还要评纪律分和卫生分。有一次，我们就是因为桌子上有垃圾，被扣了0.5分，没有拿到满分。吃好午饭，老师让我们午睡，我们宿舍里打打闹闹，结果就被老师批评了一顿，当天的纪律分也就大打折扣。以后几天我们只好老老实实地睡觉了。
当然，最难的要数洗衣服了。为了学会怎么洗衣服，到夏令营之前，我还特地向妈妈请教，但临时抱佛脚，只学到一点点皮毛。在宿舍里洗自己的衣服，我一会儿，洗衣液放得太多了，弄得水漕里都是泡泡；一会儿，衣服揉得太厉害了，把肥皂水弄到眼睛里去了，眼睛睁都睁不开，衣服也变得皱巴巴的；最后要把衣服拧干，可是我力气太小了，拧到一半拧不动了，衣服挂起来都滴滴答答落下一串又一串水珠……洗好衣服我已精疲力尽，躺在床上只喘粗气。
还有一个让我担心的是睡觉，因为我以前离开爸爸妈妈就睡不着觉。不过这次挺好的，几乎天天晚上都做着美梦，有一两天被隔壁宿舍吵得睡不着，就用“数羊”来缓解。
这次夏令营让我学会了独立生活，结识了朋友，还认识了外国老师，我感谢这次英语夏令营。

after morning’s class, we couldn’t help rushing to the cafeteria. it always brought us coolness. the food was so-so, but the home-cooking is much delicious. when we almost finished eating, i suddenly saw a familiar face——our foreign teacher nick. a girl was sitting beside him. they were talking over lunch. i at once told my friends sandy and jenny about it. we were so excited. i slowed my speed of eating to wait for that girl. at the moment, they finished their lunch and walked by us with the smile on their faces. nick seemed so different from how he looked in the class. i guess that is the power of love. hope they will enjoy everyday when they get together. so romantic.
i expect that nick will tell his love story to us.
