班纳特太太听说郡里新搬来了一个有钱的单身汉——彬格莱先生，这让她立马联想到了自己家五个如花似玉的女儿。于是她撺掇着班纳特先生去拜访这位新邻居，可是班纳特先生对太太的一腔热情嗤之以鼻，并幽默地表示说不定彬格莱先生会被班纳特太太的美貌所吸引。
班纳特先生的幽默也是没谁了，当然咯，如果每天被自家老公这样讥讽，想想也是蛮扎心的。
