“七选五”是近几年高考英语中出现的新题。题型模式：给出一篇缺少五个句子对应七个选项的的文章，要求考生根据文章的结构、信息、内容、特点等，选出正确的句子，填入空白处。此题主要考查考生对文章的整体内容和结构以及上下文逻辑意义的理解、掌握和运用。选项的特点大致是：
1、主旨概括句（文章的主题思想）；
2、过渡性句子（承上启下，巧妙过度）；
3、注释性句子（注解和诠释）；
4、总结性句子（总结提升，得出结论）等。因为题型新，所以，当考生们面对这种题型时，经常模棱两可，不知所措，出错率高。针对这一题型，我总结得出一些结论：
第一步，通读全文，把握要义。
第二步，分段阅读，找准关键。
第三步，解读选项，心中有数。
第四步，相信自己，大胆选择。理清句际间意义的关系，排除干扰选项，根据关键词做出判断。
第五步，研究多余选项，排除迷惑选项，确定你的选择。
我们拿下面这篇文章作为示范来谈谈我的一些做法和感悟，希望对你有益。

分析与再现：通读全文后，我们会得出文章的主要意思：加拿大几乎是每个家庭都养猫、狗、马等作为宠物，那里的人们对待宠物就像对待朋友一样。他们喂养宠物，喜爱宠物，保护宠物。宠物给他们（尤其是老人）带来快乐，排解孤独。从“Before they keep them at their houses，they take them to animal hospitals to give them needles so that they won’t carry disease（疾病）.”这句，我们就会清楚地发现：加拿大人对待宠物就像对待人（朋友）一样。因此得出“1_________”的恰当选项为D。根据 “They have special animal food stores，though they can get animal food in almost every store.”我们可以看出，这是与动物（宠物）的食物有关的信息。而下句“When you visit people’s homes，they would be very glad to show you their pets and they are very proud of them.”一直到结束，就与宠物的食物无关了。而且，给出的七个选项都与紧接着的“visit people’s homes”联系不大了，因此，我们有理由坚信：“2._________”会是个再次涉及动物（宠物）食物信息的句子，所以选项应该是F。从“All kinds of birds are welcomed to come and have a good meal.”我们知道，所有鸟儿都会被欢迎来家里吃大餐，这样，我们可以发挥想象：鸟儿们就可以进进出出，来去自由。于是，得到“3._________”的.恰当选项为B。细读“Nobody is allowed to kill any animals in Canada.4._________ If you killed an animal，you would be punished（处罚）.If an animal happened to get run over by a car，people would be very sad about it.”这几句，我们可以得出这样的启示：加拿大不允许任何人猎杀任何动物。不但这样，他们还可能会以某种法规制度来约束和惩罚那些偷猎者。所以“4._________”处应该是选G。
最后，读完“One of them might be：Their family tie is not as close as ours.When children grow up，they leave their parents and start their own career（生涯）.Then the seniors（老人）will feel lonely.But pets can solve this problem.They can be good friends and never leave them alone.”我们得到在这些信息：加拿大的家庭成员之间的关系不如我们的亲近。孩子长大后都独立自主去了，留在家里的老人们就会孤独寂寞，而喂养宠物则可以解决这一问题。这，或许就是加拿大人喜欢动物的原因之一；再由“One of them might be：”的暗示，我们可以大胆推测C项为“5._________”最佳的答案。
