【3】辨析voyage, journey, trip, tour, travel
(1) voyage指不论路程长短的水上或空中的旅行。
The Titanic sank on its maiden voyage.
泰坦尼克号首航便沉没了。
(2) journey一般指时间和距离都较长的陆路旅行，带有一定的目的，不含有回到原出发地的意思。
They went on a long train journey across India.
他们乘火车作了一次横跨印度的长途旅行。
(3) trip指短时间的旅行，常回到原出发地。
We went on a trip to the mountains.
我们到山里去旅游了。
(4) tour指周游或巡回旅行，常常是访问一系列地方后又回到原出发地，强调观光性质；短途旅行。

(5) travel泛指旅行这一行为过程。指具体的旅行时常用复数，用单数一般表示旅行的抽象概念。

(1) 通常与一般动词一样构成否定式和疑问式，后接带to的动词不定式，最常用于否定句中。肯定句中常用not be afraid代替。

他不敢食言。
(2)作情态动词，尤用于现在时否定式，后接不带to的动词不定式。
I daren't tell her the truth.
我不敢对她说实话。
