核心知识

1.语法:被动语态。

英语中有主动和被动两种语态。主动语态中主语是动作的执行者;被动语态中主语是动作的承受者。

e.g: We speak English. (主动句)

执行者

English is spoken by us. (被动句)

承受者

(1)被动语态的谓语构成:be+过去分词

注意:①若要保留原来动作的执行者,则将其放在介词by之后。(见上例by us)

②不及物动词无被动语态形式。

③be随句子时态的变化而变化。

(2)被动语态的用法:当不知道动作的执行者或没有任何必要指出动作的执行者,而需要强调动作的承受者时,使用被动语态。

e.g: English is widely used by people all over the world.

(3)当主动语态改为被动语态时,若主动句中有两个宾语,则可把其中任意一个宾语作为被动句的主语。

e.g: Mother gives me a present. (主动)

I am given a present by mother. (被动)

A present is given to me by mother. (被动)

2.be made of/from/in与be made up of.

(1)be made of:“由……制成”,原材料一般是未经化学变化,仍可看出原材料。

e.g; The house is made of stone. 房子是石头建的。

(2)be made from:“由……制成”;制成品看不出原来的材料。

Paper is made from wood. 纸是由木材制成的。

(3)be made in:“在某地制造”。

The car is made in China. 这辆车产于中国。

注意区分:be made up of:“由……组成”

The team is made up of five students.

这个小组由五个学生组成。

3.be used for/be used as, 与be used by.

(1)be used for:“被用于做”for表用途,后接名词或动名词。

e. g:It’ s used for locking doors. 它是锁门用的。

(2)be used as:“把……当作”

The box can be used as a table. 这只箱子可以做桌子用。

(3 be used by: by:“被(sb)使用”

e.g: English is used by people all over the world. 全世界的人都使用英语。

4.a number of:“许多,大量”,后接可数名词复数。a lot of, many.

e. g:I have a number of books. 我有许多书。

注意区分: the number of: “……的数量/号码”

e. g:The number of the students in our school is five hundred.

我们学校学生人数有500人。

5.none与neither.

none代词:“…中没有一个”。一般指三者或三者以上都不是all的反义词。

e. g:We are all very tired, but none of us stop to have a rest.

我们都很累,但没有一个人停下来休息。

neither:代词。“两者中没有一个”,是both的反义词。

e. g:Neither of my parents in at home.

我父母都不在家。

6.quarters:四分之三

英语中分数的表达方法:分子用基数词,分母用序数词,分子大于1时,作分母的序数词用复数。

1/2:a half

2/5:two fifths

1)用作宾语

The doctor wanted to operate.
